But, things weren’t so easy. I couldn’t possibly go to the police and hand over the tapes because if I did, this would open a whole lot of new cases.

There would be a string of questions ranging from what I was doing in the mansion, how did I get the footage, why was this footage not shown to the police, how did I reach to the conclusion, what was the drug all about, and a hundred other questions which their inquiring minds would like to know.

“Sheila, I would need this footage. I am going to take this with me now and I may even need your help as I don’t really know how I could show it to the police,” I said while wondering what could be a good way to approach.

“Sorry Larry, can’t let you take the footage this time. They are tied to the center room and there is just one copy. If you need the footage, you will need to come back again after a couple of days. I will make a backup copy for you at midnight and you can have it then. But, come along next time and you will need to offer both money and your body. I need a little good time in bed and I have learned some hot moves which will make you jumpy in bed,” she said and I could feel the beginning of a headache.

“Sheila, listen to me. This is not a joke. You are the one who can help us. This footage is tied to the central room, right? This can be discovered by the police, at least by accident. Can you do this one favor to me? It is really important!”

I prayed to God that Sheila would agree because it felt like it was the only solution. When she nodded her head, I told her about Rick was the main guy who had killed Anthony and how he had framed Ila. I told her about the footage and how she could just hand it over to the police and they could see it and Ila would be saved and Sheila would have the satisfaction that she did a noble deed and saved an innocent life.

Even when I was telling her all this, I knew that Sheila didn’t really have a huge lot of moral conscience and she didn’t give a fuck to the noble deed she did or not. Yet there was a part of me that wondered if she would be happy and oblige to it because it wasn’t like doing any of this would harm her.

“I promise Sheila, I would give you another 500 dollars if Ila is set free. She has seen her share of horror and she deserves a better life. Do it for me, please,” I said and looked at her eyes. I was quite convinced that she would do so. Still, I wanted a backup of the video too and even before I could ask her to give me some leads into making a copy of the video, we heard some kind of movement downstairs.
